For All-School Musical at South Orange Middle School (2008)
Meryl worked with the event chair to coordinate the printing of the raffle ticket, used connections to create unique sale items, used connections to arrange for hot dogs and hot dog cart, volunteered to help sell hot dogs at the event, and used connections to locate old Broadway programs that were used to promote the event.

For Author/Illustrator Appearance at South Orange
Middle School (2008)
Meryl suggested an author, contacted him, arranged for his appearance within the program's budget, worked closely with the librarian, ordered copies of 10 titles from 3 different sources, hand-delivered them to the event, and stayed the entire day to ensure the success of the event.

For South Orange Middle School Art Auction (2008)
Meryl connected the group with the best-fit art auction company, helped with the layout of the room for the event, met with the caterer, helped set up the artwork the day of the event, coordinated, assembled, and wrote up the themed gift baskets, assisted with the preparation of the ad journal at the 11th hour, trained the volunteers on how to run the auction in a profitable manner, helped throughout the entire event, counted the cash and checks with the auctioneer, and provided a wrap-up of the profits and expenses to the event chairs.

For the South Orange Maplewood Coalition on Race
Meryl organized their 2007 and 2008 annual events, designed one-of-a-kind invitations, put together the ad journal (and obtained many ads), arranged for the musicians, created unique goodie bags, obtained and creatively packaged items for the silent auction, coordinated with the caterer, handled the RSVPs, worked within a tight budget, and supervised the creation of a memorable and profitable evening. In 2009 Meryl served as a consultant for the Coalition's annual event which honored Assemblywoman Mila Jasey, and performed many of the same services.

For the First Annual South Orange Harvest Ball (2007)
Meryl donated items, helped package creative gift baskets for the silent auction, made original artwork into framed gift for presentation to the artist, worked within budget to create note cards and package them attractively to sell for a profit, and worked with the caterer.
